Extended Family Session Color Palettes
So you’ve booked your extended family session, but now you are faced with trying to coordinate 20+ people’s outfits. Your uncle picks out a lime green shirt, your aunt wants to wear her favorite cherry red dress from the last gala, and your grandpa wants to wear his favorite Disney graphic tshirt. YIKES! I am here to make this process as seamless and smooth as possible. Here are some great color palette options that work well with my editing style. One way to make the process easy is to screenshot the palette you like the most and send it out to your family along with a few other instructions. I always recommend at least 80% solids in photos. The more patterns you throw in the mix, the busier your photos look, especially when there are a lot of people present. Rather than finding matching clothes, try to diversify each outfit, but within the same palette. Always stay away from bright colors and graphic T-shirts. My earthy, warm editing style serves clients the best when they wear neutral, warm, or mauve colors.
